The asbestos(?) cord came off the door of my boxwood stove and I need an adhesive to put it back on. Anyone know where I could get something that would work?

Joe, I'm fairly sure someone will have the right answer, but I always resorted to the leftover tube of high temp silicone I used for car manifolds etc. I used it on the power vent off the boiler without issue. (as well as the car.) I'm not sure offhand if it will hold up to your temps though.

FWIW,
Wes

Joe, your local big box store should have some gasket adhesive made for this very situation. Should be near the fireplaces, flues, ducts, etc. You can even get a new fiberglass gasket if need be. BTDT.

Thanks guys. Hot as heck now, but, in a few months snows gonna be flying again. Need to get this puppy ready. Sure don't like my gas bill without it....
