Here are two sets of El Grande Fountain Pen and Pencil Sets I turned. One set is Bocote and the other Paduk. Both sets are finished with BLO/CA. These are the first fountain pens I have done. The lady that wanted them said she would give me $100 for each set. I am really not completely satisfied with them but the LOML says I am to critical. She says they are just fine. I just hope the fountain pens work ok.

Bernie, nice looking pens. I've done a couple of the El Grande fountain pens and they have worked fine. I was amazed at how nicely a fountain pen writes.
Bonnie, these are well within your ability. Easier than the flat top you posted IMHO.

They look good to me! Hmm, $100/set x how many sets for a new lathe of your choice?

Chris I think after the new DVR the SWMBO is going to be hard to convince. :D But now that you mention it. Beauty is $5,500 divided by 100= 550 sets.
Thanks for the kind comments. Bonnie these pens are actually very easy to do. You could do them with no problems.

I think you forgot to add in the attachments.
The pens turned out great though!

Great looking pens Bernie and congrats on the sell. I haven't tried a fountain yet but I really like the looks of these kits.

Those are some nice sets Bernie. I think you've misjudged the time to your upgrade though. $5500/100 per set=55 sets not 550 sets. Your a busy week away from a Beauty!;)
Of course like Pete said, the attachments and doodads that you'd just HAVE to have would mean many more sets.
