Tooling - Cutters

I got the V-Carve Pro and the photo V carve.

I was wondering what others that do CNC routing use for envraving tools. I have a 1/4 90 degree 2 flute carbide tool. 90 drgrees seems too wide.

Any recommendations?

I use the V cutters from Centurion Tools. I have great results with them.

Your 90 degree bit is fine for jobs where depth needs to be kept to a minimum and for adding a V detail around the perimeter of a sign. The 60 degree bits are also very popular and 45 degree bits for delicate engraving. There are lettering V-bits that have a round bottom and leave a nice finished look rather than a sharp edge.

Small diamond bits like the ones used with Dremel tools are also used frequently for very fine detail engraving work in wood, plastics and metal.
