record vises

I have the opportunity to buy Record vise, model 152. I cannot find anything on the internet about this particular model. Anybody familiar with this one? It is quite large. What might it be worth?

I'm not familiar with a 152 Record vice. Could it be just a 52, without the 1 in front. The 52 relates to a 7" woodworking vice. I'm not familiar with the 152. I do have a 521/2 D quick release. Check out the threads on teh 152. If it has the undercut thread, it is a premium vise. have little reference on cost.

Don't know the 152 I guess it's a 52. They come in a variety of types. Has it got a fast release lever ( bar type lever located just below screw handle on right usually)? How smooth is the screw action? How pollished are the guide bars in slides on?

Records are well built and can take a lot of use easily.
I've got two one my bench. One a 7" wide jawed quick release and another 10" wide(ish) (which is very old) as a "tail vice". Both work well just replace the wood jaws now and then.
As for cost look at the new price and then condition of the one on offer- how much is it worth to you? Only you can answer that one.
