Florida Wood Blanks

I'm vacationing in ormond beach, fl(just north of daytona), and looking for a local source for a florida grown blanks to turn some small bowls as souvenirs. something low cost and native to florida. any recommended places or woods? I broke my foot yesterday, so i can't harvest the wood or look at the parks like i planed, unsure if it's legal to pick up and remove fallen wood from the national parks. I am a novice at turning, but have an expert brother-in-law and plan on trading a blank or 2 for assistance in turning.
