Hi,

I'd like to see some woodworking shops or points of interest in or around Burlington and Woodstock, Vermont. Anyone know of any?

Thanks!

Pete

It's just up the road from Woodstock. I would also visit the Billings Farm Museum.

Hey Pete,

Friend of ours who does some really nice woodturining, lives in Vermont. I asked him and he said he couldn't find your post when he looked, but to be sure and give you his email address. His name's Brad, super nice guy. He's given me lots of great pointers and suggestions in my wood turning over the years. Maybe ya'll can hook up and visit, hope so!

Steve is a friend of mine, and besides being an amazing woodworker, he is maybe one of the nicest guys I know. Dorset is about 2 hours south of burlington on route 30 heading out of manchester. If you think his website looks nice, you should see the work in person:D

Charles Shackleton (sp?) has a nice shop with his potter-wife on Rte 4 in Bridgewater.

If you're into a side-trip you could see:

Rte 100 is a scenic tour by itself - if you're a road/mtn biker, Waitsfield has many nice scenic routes.

There's several places you could do a day-walk along the Long Trail too.

Also, I recall that the State has a good craftsmen website, but I failed to bookmark...

Good luck
