Lots of holes and cracks in this one. Not as thin as I would llike it but I am still exploring the hollow form techniques

What great figure! I like the form too, and the grooves near the rim.
I'm expecting my monster hollowing set any day now, so I'm excited to try my first HF's. :D

Good job Steve! I wasn't too sure about the rings around the opening at first; I probably would have omitted them. But they're growing on me.
BTW how big is this piece?
I don't see a lot of poplar displayed on this forum and it's always good to see someone spinning it. Around here there's more poplar than grass. I have a pile sitting out back, buried beneath shavings, that I'm hoping will spalt.

Mark,
The piece is 3 1/2 x 6 1/2. I meant to put that in, still working on getting a good picture without hot spots. This one does not show the finish well and seems a little out of focus to me. Another day, another try.

Great HF. I really like the form. The lines kind of set it off. Keep'em coming.
