Went to Atlanta yesterday and had lunch at Mike Johnson's house with some of my "Cronie" friends. Mike and Diane were gracious hosts. Mike's BBQ and potato salad were Out-a-sight. He even baked some chocklate chip cookies.
Maybe Mike should take up a second hobby as a gourmet chef. Jim Fuller brought his lovely SWMBO with him. I took a picture of Diane Johnson and Lucy Fuller but somehow when I was downloading my camera to the computer a couple pics got deleted. Sorry about that Ladies.

Mike even had some T Shirts for us with some neat graphics (pic below)

Cronies in attendance: Jim Fuller, Ken Wright, Jeff Bishop, Harvey Meyer, Robert Simmons, Mark Kauder and of course Mike Johnson. And of course the lovely ladies, Lucy Fuller and Diane Johnson (Definitely not cronies).

Mike really has a nice start to his new basement shop and has a "bang up" dust collection system. Looks like a NASA set up.

I went to the WW Show in the afternoon. Was very crowded and lots of "gizmos". None of which seem to be very practical to me. Didn't buy a thing. I did look at some exotic woods, but the prices were higher than I pay locally - so I got away with all my money and bought a case of Bud Light before leaving Georgia (cheaper than in Alabama).

Ken's right.... we did have a great time. And the food was awesome ..... Sure glad Mike and Diane didn't see Salisbury when he filled his pockets with cookies before he left. That was kinda tacky I thought.

I had a great time at Mike's. And the BBQ was out of this world. Mike and Diane were gracious hosts and I thank you both. And we even got tee shirts. Top that Sophie!!!!

Just for clarification, the picture of the group that has Ken Salisbury in it was actually taken by Ken Wright, not Jeff. Jeff is standing to Ken's right and Mark Kauder is to his left and between the two of them they managed to hold Ken upright for the picture.

And Mike and Diane's cat has been missing since Mike demonstrated the cyclone. That thing really sucks, but the cat was sleeping right in front of the floor sweep.

And lastly Ken - I was the 2nd one on the chow line - you missed the 1st guy when you couldn't remember how to turn the camera on. But at your age, that's understandable.

Thanks again Mike for hosting us and hope to see y'all again soon.

Harvey

Hi Ken, Great pictures and obviously a group. I think the best part of these shows is the get togethers at various people's houses and shops.
Take care,
John

First of all, a big thank you to Mike and Diane for inviting a bunch of people you have never met into your home, AND feeding them some great food. You are very gracious hosts, and I really enjoyed myself. It was great to meet all that were there and put faces to the names I have come to recognize from BP and SMC. Of course, everyone knew Ken S. what with aaallllll of the pix he puts here of himself, so no introductions were necessary for him.
I also want to thank Mike for the neat t-shirt and Ken S. for the beautiful toothpick holder. I look forward to another get together sometime.

Lucy and I had a great time. Mike and Diane you sure went all out. I greatly enjoyed myself, and Lucy said she did as well. Food was great, you have a lovely house (All number one with me) Even though your neighbors now think you belong to some redneck clan, with all the pickup trucks. Robert thanks for the tickets. Ken, I stood in line to buy some hose for my vaccum, didn't see it so I waited to ask the clerk, and was told where it was and I could go to the back of the line (20 min wait), so I left with out buying anything, but a couple of push pads. Went to Highland Hardware and bought a couple of things, it was crowded as well. I hope to get together with you all again. Ken I am coming to see you, I want to check out your lumber stash. Again Thanks to all.
