Are you looking for something like this (http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=28221) (right-hand picture)? That one is for 4", but no sweat to scale up...

Lee how did you make the coasters..... (ps- they look great!)Thanks. They're pretty much what they look like. Face is 1/8" walnut and maple, cut on the laser and glued to a 1/8" MDF backer. Edges get trued and rounded on the router table, couple coats of Arm-R-Seal for a finish, and self-stick cork on the back.

The holder is 1/8" maple. I've got a VBA program (look here (http://www.shaddysengraving.com/laser/HTML/fingerbox.html)) that lays out the pieces for a cube with box-joint edges...just cut the four sides at the right height and add the thumb notch.

Lee,

Thanks a lot for the program. It runs fine on X3. I will get a lot of use out of it.

well, I just cant get it to work. I'm sure that I am doing something wrong. I have x13 but Correl says that it is not importable using the selected filter, or the format is unsupported. Any ideas on what i'm missing?

When you download this file it has to go into the gms file within X3. You'll need to open your program files, find X3, open the Corel folder then the GMS folder and save the download to this folder.

You can then access it from X3 by going to tools, Visual Basic, then just follow the windows from there.

What Mike said, plus a small dose of RTFM: the link in post #4 of this thread tells you where to find rather detailed information on the what/why/where/how of GMS files.

C:\Program Files\Corel\CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 13\Draw\GMS

This is where I have it. But I cant seem to figure it out.

I guess I need to leard about macros. I'm not to computer literate. The box looks like fun to make but I dont get what to do with the 'box option' menue that comes up.

I will keep messing around with it. Thanks for your help getting it where it was suposed to be.
