Porter-Cable 89X plunge base

I just got around to reading the Popular Woodworking Fixed/Plunge router article. There are pics on pages 60-61. If You have access to the magazine, look at the plunge base for the P-C on pg. 61 then the plunge base for the DW 618 on pg. 60. Looks like they're closely related. First public pics I've seen of the rumored reworked P-C 890 plunge base. I wonder if this was an "oops" because B & D was keeping this under wraps 'til the show in Las Vegas.
