View Full Version : Have you ever seen Teak like this?

I was at Woodworkers the other day looking for Teak to finish my kitchen when I came across this. I guess you would call it Curly Teak. I've never seen Teak like this so I grabbed all 3-1/2 planks of it.

looks like the tree was twisted so you get plain sawn and quarter and rift all n the same board.

Of course I'm just guessing 'cause I haven't a clue.

Sometimes you just have to. I did that last time I saw a couple boards of curly mahogany locally. I always tell the wife "I may never see this again." Been working so far...:rolleyes:

Maybe it's called Flame Teak? Kinda like Flame Birch.
