Rats, hit a piece of broken-off nail inside some old growth redwood I'm resawing into boards. Didn't hear the noise of the nail over the noise of the saw itself, the DC, and earplugs I was wearing, or I'd have backed off and probably saved the blade. Shoot, it was a brand new Olson 1/2" 4 tpi skip tooth raker that sliced this stuff beautifully.
Okay, the blade is toast and cuts to the right about 25° now. Just wondering if taking a stone and dulling the right side of the blade could make the blade track relatively straight again until I can buy another blade. Yeah, I'm sure it won't cut perfect...
Seems these kind of things always happen either just after the stores close, or on a holiday, eh?
