Here was my original post with the pics of the first lumber rack. http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.p...10079#poststop (http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?p=610079#poststop)
Not only I made this one that I feel better about. I think I over done it a bit since I use 5/8" x 5 1/2" lag screws 3 of them per post. The holes were 2 1/2" deep at 5 or 6 deg to support the 18" pipes and the bottom tier has a shelf for shorter cut offs.
Since I was at it, I switched the fridge from the left corner to the right of the rack and build shelves on that corner to add more storage and work area. I gain a lot of space doing that. Then I moved a work bench (kind of) underneath to tight the whole thing together.
This garage it's a work in progress but is getting there. Now I need to get some ideas for the clamps.
Thanks again for all your feedback.
Regards,
Alex
