Bought a set of Hatachi quick change countersink / pilot-drill combos to use In my Felder Drill Press ;-) ..
They were NOT sharpened. The cutting edges were merely machined and them black oxide treated but they were dull like they'd been through a tumbler. Go figure-..

Cliff,
You should try the Amana carbide tipped countersink/drill combo bits with a hex shaft - cut razor clean holes and last forever if you dont cut melamine coated particleboard.

I've gone through several of those sets before buying the Snappy set at a woodworking show. The big box sets are case hardened and the set screws strip out way too easily. I got the Snappy set two years ago and it is holding up great. Well worth the money.

My Snappy set is a pleasure to have around too. So That's two for Snappy.
