This is the first big piece off of my outboard turning set up I posted awhile back. It measures 19" dia. x 1-1/2" tall. I plan on using it as a wall hanging rather than on a table but it could go either place. I have never titled my pieces but this one reminds me of a sunset so that is it's name. Not to fancy. Finished with Antique oil and Beall buffed. As always your comments/critiques are accepted and thanks for looking.

Beautiful piece Keith! Great colors and grain pattern - the name fits! Any pictures of your rig in action?

Excellent work Keith!

Did you DNA it or was it wet or dry. I will be running into some big wood in the near future and would like to make some platters.

DNA'ed it Pete. Box elder dries fast, relative speaking, and it was dry in about a week and a half. I very rough turned it leaving it about 1" thick. Didn't warp much at all.
