i'm sitting here with a broken thumb cause my planer seems to want to kickback wood. In fact it did...took a huge gouge out of the front of a piece of ash. it acts like the front roller is higher than the cutterhead but i'm not sure.

the rear roller is the only one that's adjustable though. replacing the blades made little difference. Any ideas?

oh yea, it's the typical 2 speed 13" delta planer

When I got Delta, the planer head was not parallel with the bed, and I had to take it in. They fixed it and it's worked great ever since. If yours is new, take it in for repair or return it.

it's not new but i took it in to be repaired yesterday and hopefully i'll have it back in ...ouch... a couple weeks. for a while it's been acting up...wanting to take a bite out of the front end of the board, especially if it was a light pass.
