I rejoice to be able to announce the birth of Levi Stephen Tuinstra - born this morning at 9:55 am central standard time. He's a healthy 9.9lbs, 22 3/4" baby boy! Yea, I know, he's kinda' ugly. But just like cherry, we Tuinstra's get better with time. The Mrs. is doing fine! A round of cyber cigars for everyone! Jason - aka, one proud papa!

Mom and baby are nappn' so I thought I'd take a second to say thanks for everyone's kind words.

Glen, you nailed it on the head. That ol' boy took one look at me and that seem to do the trick in kick starting those lungs. Can ya' blame the boy? Poor thing.

Todd, I got the chair when we went to the Hancock Shaker Village back in August. The kit was a breeze putting together. The real work is in weaving the seat. My wife and I had a good time doing that together. It hasn't seen a lot of use, but it sure came in handy this morning.

This is our first "home-birth" baby. The other 4 were born in the hospital. Jody loved doing it this way. Not for everyone, I understand, but we have no regrets. I think we’re drawing the line at 5 though, so our (can I say our?) birthing days are done. Anyway, that explains why the pictures were taken in the home.

Well, I’m taking the rest of the week off, so hopefully that means some bonus shop time after everything gets back to normal. Thanks again!

Congratulations Jason on your new arrival. It appears that you like to take on those projects which require some extended time to finish (if ever). Today was the first time I had visited this website. After I saw your heartwarming post and pictures I figured I should register, if only to send you a note. If all the folks in this forum are as proud of their families and their sawdust making as you are I'll likely come back often.
