I'm looking into purchasing a G0513 17" band saw from craigs list. The product specs say that the amps are 20/10. Will this level of amps be accomodated by a standard home outlet (I believe is 15 amps)? If not, what needs to be done to accomodate the 20 amps? Thanks for any input.

The specs mean it draws 20A at 120V or 10A at 240V. Residential 120V circuits are either 15 or 20A.

If you have a 120V, 20A circuit with nothing else on it, you might be OK, but really the best solution would be to install a 240V cicuit for the bandsaw.

I've got my G00513X band saw running on a 120V/15A circuit and have not had any issues at all with it.
