We built a show vehicle for Allstate Insurance and they were so happy they comped a trip to to the race for my entire shop. I was hoping I could put some faces to names while I'm there.

How in the world do you comp a trip to anywhere? Just curious, Max

Sure sounds like the marketing department (or somebody at Allstate with clout) got a whole lot more show vehicle than they were expecting. Congratulations Bill! Enjoy the race!

Good work Bill. I have been to a Nascar race and an Indy car race this year, both for the first time and both for FREE! Yeah! All of the cars have multiple sponsors and the sponsors get numerous tickets to the races. The guy I went with threw 8 tickets in the garbage as we went in as he did not have anyone to give them to! If you are going courtesy of Allstate, you might want to check on pit passes, garage passes, and the hospitality tent. The hospitality tent is where the sponsors and their guests go before and during the race. Free food, drinks, hats, shirts, prizes, etc. Someone is going, might as well be you! ;) Have fun.

Thanks everyone. This comp comes with full access and police escort if needed. The race is sponsored by Allstate so they call the shots. If I may have permission to show a picture of the work we did You'll see why they did what they did. It's a Hummer H-1 with on line capability, 6 tvs, 4- 12" woofers and 16000 watts of power. It will be raffled off for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the proceeds go for scollarships in our community. I sponsored 15k of labor to build it so I guess the race isn't exactly free.
