Classic American Box Elder Burl Pencil

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, work has been crazy :(. So today when I got a chance to sneak away early I ran home and turned a pencil :D

The wood is Box Elder Burl with a little red and a little spalting. The blank the pencil is leaning on is from the same burl so ya can see what I started with. The Finish is several coats of CA and BLO.

Thanks Curt ... Thats the plan. I turned this to show to the wife of one of the guys I work with. She works at a bank and wants a pen/pencil set but can't decide on what style she wants. I am all out of pens kits so I turned this pencil so she can check it out. If she likes it I will get a matching pen and turn it for her. I am hoping she will like it, buy it, and show it off to all the ladies she works with so they can order some too :D
