I have no idea where this shape came from but some times you just follow the flow...

That is a good looking pen. You have been putting out a lot of good quality pens. I'm already looking forward to your next one.

Jim

I really do believe that this is your best yet. The simple and elegant form works perfectly with the classic black.
You keep setting the bar higher. I think my next turning will have to be a pole vault staff.

Absolutely beautiful. My pens are going to get a complex if you keep posting pens like this ;)

Jim, you turn some of the most beautiful pens I've seen. This one is really nice.

I have a question, Is that black leather case a prop you use for all of your pictures or do you have a seperate one for each pen you make. And, where do you get those? They really add to a nice pen.

Thanks Curt,

The leather pen cases I use all come from Arizona Silhouette, I sell them with each pen I make.

Again Thank you all for your kind comments....it's been a good day!

jim--

you've inspired me. i need to try a closed end pen.

can you give a brief explanation of how you turn the closed end?

might save me some time, wood and cussing.

Hey Jeffery,

I would recommend you take a look at the following article written by Rich Kleinhenz http://www.penmakersguild.com/articles/closedendpen.pdf

I am using pin chucks sold by Arizona Silhouette made just for Barons. He's got plenty of other items to spend your money on as well, be careful!

Let me know if I can help:)
