The LOML requested that I finish the moulding work in the family room and dinning room before I complete the shop set up. Not a problem until I got to the single small, 32" door in wall on a vaulted ceiling that separates the dining room from the kitchen. It looked lost on that wall so I though I woud give that side of the room some architechtural interest by putting up a door suround. I replaced the flat door with a 6 panel door but I'm stumped when it comes to porportions of the vertical casing and the header that I will assemble at the top.
So far I have a 3" fluted vertical casing, plinth blocks for the bottom and small square blocks for the top or the casing. Then 4" dentil crown on a 1x6 above the vertical casing. so 6" horizontal at the top and 3" vertical on a small door. Will this be OK?
I would appreciate any comments.
Thanks,
John
