My attempt at turning a platter from the latest AAW magazine article about eccentric turning. The article is well written, informative, and the platter is a hoot to turn. The platter is approx. 9" at the rim.

Gary - I don't get the AAW magazine so I have no idea what the article is about but wanted to jump in anyway and let you know that your platter is great! Love the wood, design and finish!

Thanks to all for the kind comments. This piece was finished with a couple of coats of Minwax wipe on Poly, a covering of paste wax and buffed. Ken; no stain applied, just the natural color of the Walnut.

Well done Gary,

I like the way it flows across the top to the bowl portion of the turning;)
