Took a tour of a place that restores high end wood boats...very high end I think, anyway they use Epifane products and I have to say it was impressive, for those looking for a varnish for outdoors, maybe take a look.

Epifanes traditional spar varnish is often considered the best, though it is on the dark side. There are two other brands that rate being mentioned in the same breath--Interlux Schooner and Pettit Captain's. Well applied any of these have the potential to give breathtakingly beautiful brightwork.
