The wood is Walnut burl the finish is Watco Danish oil and the piece is about 8 x 4.5
This one was a lot of fun I had roughed it out at a turners gathering I had at my house in December and finish turned it about 2 weeks ago.
Sorry about the poor pictures I set up my lights and everything but had dust on my lense so did not have the energy to pull the stuff back out just wiped off the lense and used the fill flash.

The shine in the cracks is remnents of steel wool, I blew it out but must not have gotten all of it. You can hardly tell in person but the flash really shows it.
