I don't usually post my turnings but I felt this piece needed to be shared. My neighbor and I run a mill in the fall and winter to cut lumber for the local high school wood shop. I got this piece from my neighbor to make a gunstock but it checked to much for that purpose, so I turned a bowl. It is 9" at the rim and 2.5" tall. The rim is only 3/32" but tapers to approx 3/8" at the bottom. It was turned green and has 'moved' a little since the finish was applied. All comments welcome. I appoligize for the poor pics.

Fantastic. That is one of the nicest pieces of walnut crotch wood I have seen. Your design seems to really set it off well.

I'm glad you figure out the photo thing because I wouldn't want to miss this one. That's as pretty as walnut gets and a beautiful form to show it off.

Man-o-man that's some beautiful wood and a fine bowl. What a gun stock that would have made. Wow!!!
