Mark Cothren gave me a big crotch piece of this wild Silver Poplar a while back. I pondered on how I was going to cut it for a while. Ended up splitting the crotch right down the middle, got the other half as a platter drying. I threw form out the window on this, I HAD to keep this figuring on top.
11" diameter by 4" deep, buffed Antique oil finish.

Man, I wish I'd been standing outside you window when you threw this form out. I can't quite decide if the form makes the wood look good or the wood makes the form look good. But it sure is nice!

Travis, at this point I believe that form is a relative term, this one is a Stinson original. Awsome.

Outstanding Travis! Love the wood! The form is unique and looks great! I still get amazed at how thin you can turn these HF!
