sounds innocent enough. In the lase couple months I have been getting a script error - while on this web site. It usually happens shortly after I log on. But is doesn't happen every time .

Symptoms:
The PC freezes, won't do nuthin.

I hit CTL, ALT, DEL to get the task Manager.
When it "finally" pops up it tells me that my CPU usage is at 100%. I never use 100% of my CPU but, that script does.

An error box pops up informing me that a script is running and wants to know If I want to stop running it.

I hit YES and the PC unfreezes and every thing is hunky dory.

Any one know what is with that ??

It's likely not SMC. The php scripting that vBulletin is build on is server-side, not client-side. How long has it been since you rebuilt your OS? It sounds like something has become "runaway".
