Hi fellow woodworkers, here are some nice little maple bowls I turned over the Christmas holiday. They are about 7" in diameter and about 2.5" deep. Finished with salad bowl finish.

I really like the wavey grain on the maple. I like the simple form, too, for functionality. Have you considered the "no finish" approach on salad bowls? It's the way I prefer, along with several other experienced turners I read here at the Creek. Let the bowls acquire their own finish as they get used. They look great. Keep up the good work and posting picts.
