This is #2 in a series that I'm working on.
Elm no foot HF
14” tall X 6” wide.
Antique Oil finish and buffed.
I have some pics with a stand and some without.
I don't think the shape of this stand really complements the shape of this style form, but it is the largest one that I have to display it standing up.
Comments Welcome.

Beautiful wood, form and finish Jim! The stand serves it's purpose - don't know what else you would be able to use. Unique shape - just has to be a great conversation piece! Once again - very nice work!

Jim, I think it is really cool and one of the more interesting pieces I have seen in a while. I prefer it with out the stand (and the stand looks fine) because it makes it more approachable for me, something I would want to handle and figure out how you made it.

Very nice HF Jim, the stand is cool too. Have you considered making a stand out of Plexiglass? Might give a nice look.

Interesting! I don't find the stand objectionable, although the "stance" is somewhat "aggressive" if that's not what you want. Honestly, the stand for pieces like this are a great opportunity to vary the entire feel of the combined work...from whimsical to wherever you want to go!

If you ccould find a metal worker......

Make a sling like stucture to support it on it's side yet tilting at an angle upwards. I tried to do a quick drawing for what I mean. You may not see what I'm trying to portray, but.....if not just ask. I have it in three views of top side front. If you would like I could do detailed drawings with dimwnsions and a 3d view.
