I have beed think about making or buying a cyclone for awhile. My grizzly 2hp collector died a couple weeks ago and I purchased a surplus 4hp marathon( I know strange size) to replace it the motor so I am using it for now. But I bought the bigger motor so I could buy a bigger impeller and build or buy a cyclone body.
I have been all over Bill Pentz website many times. But have found a cyclone on the "bay" that everone says works good. he has great feedback but I know most feed back is on shipping and not how well the product performs.
I emailed him and asked some questions this was part of his response
"It is not the Bill Pentz design, but rather from the New York State dept. of labor, dept. of hygiene engineering, 1962. Physically they are very similar in size, I do not use a neutral vane, I have found it unnecessary. I have sold over 700 of these units and never had one complaint about performance."
it looks good and I was wondering if anyone else had tried or owned one.
if I buy it I will make a blower and buy a 14" impeller.
