I'm interested in turning a calligraphy pen, but I haven't found a kit that would work for me. I need it to take a fountain pen cartridge (not the kind that requires having an inkwell). I found a product called a calligraphy nib insert (http://www.stilesandbates.co.uk/shop/showmproduct.cfm?pid=227) but I don't know if that's even on the right path to a solution. I've made plenty of fountain pens, but I've always wanted a good calligraphy nib.

Has anyone ever seen such a beast?

Nope those are for dip pens. I have made a few in the past and you dip the nib in the ink.

Craft Supplies USA sells a calligraphy nib for some of the kits but I have never used it. Other than that a nib guy can probably regrind one of your nibs to a caligraphy nib. Richard Binder is a well respected nib guy that I believe has done for some other pen turners.

I have bought the caligraphy nib from CSUSA and fitted them to Junior Gent's, I have two customers who love them...
