From a piece of sycamore found in the ditch, beside the road, where the power company left it. 8 X 3.5, about 1/8-3/16th thick. Several coats of antique oil, buffed and waxed.

Thanks for looking,
Tom

Pretty form and the wood is capable of holding a conversation by itself! Very nice!

Tom nice job. The spalted wood gives such nice graining and it is a surprise every time.

Thats a real beauty. I've never seen so much spalting on one piece of wood. How was it to turn?

Nice piece, Tom! I just found some spalted sycamore, and did a SEARCH to see what might be done with it--wow, does that bowl look nice! I'm not a turner these days, but I begin to wish I was. Like Bill above me, I'd be interested in how hard it was to work the spalted wood, and if you had to do anything to "beef it up" or strengthen it due to the spalting? Thanks!

Nice looking wood. It's darker than the bit of spalted sycamore i've turned. Great spalting too. Good job.
