Walnut Bowl & Platter

Ive started to finish some of the roughed out walnut pieces that have been drying . The bowl is 10 x5" and the platter is about 10 x 1.5. Both got a coat of antique oil and were lightly buffed. Walnut and I are slowly becoming friends after a very rocky start.

tom, I really like both of those, especially the bowl and the way you turned the lip. the grain looks nice and the sapwood adds to it.

Tom, WOW!! nice form, details particularly in the bowl lip and the details. I really like both of them.... I had the same love/hate relationship with walnut, not sure where I stand today but those bowls sure look good!!!!

Really nice work on both pieces Tom! I like the detail work on the rim of the platter and I really like the form on the bowl. The little flair on the lip of the bowl really makes the piece! Nice work!
