This piece measures about 8 1/2 x 12 . Antique oil and buffed. I worked on this on a pretty long time so I'm glad to see it over and done.

Great job Mike! I agree with Pete, the time was worth it. Segemented turnings are my next goal.

Great piece Mike !! Excellent job of alignment on the zig-zag joints, not an easy thing to do. Keep it up !

I like how the smooth and simple outer curve contrasts with the complex straight lines of the segmented pieces. Great work!

Mike that's absolutely stunning. You really make me anxious to get my shop done and do some turning. That's a beautiful design and wonderful choice of woods. How many segmented pieces have you made now?

Thanks guys, to answer the questions, I haven't a clue how many I have done, 4 or five since the beginning of the year, probably 30 or so in the late 90s. I have never counted how many pieces goes into one of these.
