We got rained out at work today so I made a trip to Woodcraft and got set up to start turning pens. I never had no interest in turning pens until I seen that beauty that Jim Shaver posted last week...WOW!
Here are my first two attempts. The first one I did is the Box Elder burl pen. Not all that great but for my first pen I guess its not too bad and I learned while turning it.
The 2nd one is turned out of a knarly little piece of Walnut. It turned out a lot better than the first and and has some great chatoyance. :D
Both are finished with CA and BLO.
