Scrap piece of cherry 36" long = $0
Cut into 3 pieces, cut a thin kerf slot down the center, roundover the edges, apply couple of coats of poly = hour or so of labor.
Look on the Senior's face who has limited use of 1 arm and likes to play cards?
Priceless!
Thought I'd post this for anyone who could use the idea.

I did a similar item some time ago for a lady who was having trouble holding the cards.
The remarks I have got from many sources, you would think I had made her a million dollar item.
Many times the things that cost $0 are priceless.

When I do things like this, I get paid back by smiles, hugs, and a warm feeling. Way to go!!

During World War II when I was in high school, we used to make this kind of card holder for hospitalized servicemen. We would use scrap pine 1x2s and run it through a saw, then glue the strips together so they could play solitaire with one hand.

Good work Brian. Isn't it nice how the simplest of items can bring such joy to a person who needs it?
