Good day

I had it long time in my head and today I did it.

For the center part I used two 1-9/16" counter top boards (chipboard covered with Formica) and for the sides 3/4" plywood covered with Formica (everything from left-overs).

As Vertical rollers I used iron rollers (just found them in the drawer) but if you are planning to roll it on the table, use the plastic ones.

If you are going to make it, may I advise that, first, cut only ONE center part (this 1-9/16" chipboard).
I cut it to 1/8" wider than required and then, trimmed it, 1/32" at a time, till I got the Horizontal rollers almost fit to the fence without turning the "Bolts".
Then, without changing the rip fence position cut the second 1-9/16" board to get 100% fit with the first one.

The travel, is limited by your fence length (maybe I'll make longer fence).

It's rolling nicely without any side play and the test results (on the pics) were excellent...now I have to find some project...

I thing that I can use it also to make "Raised Panel"

Of course it not limited only to the TS and it can "Roll" also on the router table.

And the rest is on the pictures

Regards
niki

Yet another well executed idea Niki! I've seen simpler versions but using the wheels is a really cool idea. Also, another fine job of documenting it with pictures and captions.

Thank you Bruce

All the idea was "born" from the simpler version.

I was just looking for a way to make it more "sliding" and to eliminate any side plays.

As they say, nothing new under the sun

Thanks

I'd say the wheels make it unique enough to call it new.

Nice design. My only concern would be in the screws to remove the side play. Wouldn't tightening them increase the possibility of the jig being unparallel to the blade?

Thank you

When I say "tight" I don't mean "TIGHT", I just turn the screw (bolt) till I don't feel any side play.
At that point, the pressure should be very small and I don't think that it will bent the plywood.

I attached two pics with the distances and the center part thickness, judging from the moments, I shall need to tight the bolts very strong to bend the sides plywood.

Thank you Zahid

Well, to say the truth, it's not nice job but it's very effective jig

It still looks like a prototype but....excuses, excuses, all my jigs looks like prototype...:o :o :o
