Good evening from the UK.
I have just purchased a used Versalaser V300, when i attached the air assist I get air from the backsweep but I also get air from the end of the carriage around the 1st lense.
Should this happen, is it blowing debris etc away from the lense or do I have a leak ?
Can anybody help ?

Regards John

I would say you have a leak. My VL300 does not have this leakage.

John,

There is a diffuser right by the number 2 mirror this is to keep debris off of that optic. It should not be a strong flow of air at that point. however you will hear some air flow.

Two things to check make sure the input regulator is not set to high it should be set to 40-50.

Be sure that the hose connected to the diffuser at the #2 mirror did not come off.

John,

I believe there is a diagram of the air assist hoses, I can't find mine you may have to contact customer service 480-609-0297 and see if they can send it to you.
