I bought a Jet Mini as my first lathe right before Christmas. I am really pleased at how well it is working for me and how many people I have met who have hung onto their Minis after moving up to a larger lathe.

I would be interested in seeing what other folks have turned on their minis. Here is a walnut bowl I just finished. It is about 5 1/2 across and 2 inches high. It was buffed with carnuba wax on my Beall buffer.

Very nice bowl, Dick. Everything I have turned has been on a mini because that is the only lathe I have.

All of my work is also from my mini. (I also got mine around Xmas) Here's one of my favorites, a cherry burl about 6" across: http://sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=58533

Here are some of my stuff all turned on a jet mini! I love the little thing... sorry about the bad pix; I need to get a proper set-up!

I have turned a ton more... these are just a few of the stuff! You are really not as limited with a mini lathe as you would think!

I'm not sure how to link to my previous posts but almost everything I've done so far was on my mini. I've only turned one thing so far on my 1442vs. Then I started on the new shop. If someone could assist with attaching my old posts I'd appreciate it.

I've turned all kinds of stuff on my mini lathe. From pens, bowls, boxes, candle holders, mallets to bud vases, tool handles, stoppers, hollow vessels, you name it. If the wood fits, turn it! (Hey, maybe a new signature line:eek: )

Just copy the urls from the adress bar and paste them into the post!

But you have to have the creek up on two screens so you can jump back and forth between the two. DAMHIKT!! I've lost more posts and PMs because I was trying to do it all on one login!!:(
