Would greatly appreciate any input with regard to clamping techniques and tools/clamps that member use in the construction of miter corners. Thanks.

Frames or panels? Frames can often be done with tape. If larger I use some Jet or Bessey (I forget) corner clamps. I'll sometimes use these at each end of a panel as well to keep things aligned and tape every 6 inches or so.

I have also double taped triangle blocks to the sides and clamped across the joint. You may want to check out Gary Rogowski's article here (http://www.taunton.com/finewoodworking/FWNPDF/011151042.pdf).

If you mean miters for picture frame type assemblies. I use a strap clamp for intital glue up then cut/install splines to reinforce the joint.
