I normally stick to the handtool forum but could someone take a look at Craigslist.org, New Jersey, South Jersey and let me know if the Sears lathe in Tuckerton NJ looks like a decent deal if I'm in that area fishing anyway and gas isn't a factor. I turned a chisel handle on my drill press and liked the feeling. thanks

I don't know about the lathe, but it is sad that turning a handle on a drill press is about to cost you $1000's in a new "hobby." You will know what I mean in a few weeks. :) :) :) :) :)

Looks just like my first lathe, was really a good lathe that if I had the room I would have kept it. It is a MT 1 3/4 spindle so acc. are not a problem. For 95 bucks with chisels included, I would go for it.

Looks just like the one I have turned pens, some small bowls, and a few boxes on it. I'd love to have a bigger one but this one will stay in my shop ( it was my Grandfathers lathe).
