Anyone have a simple pattern for a stand to hold 6x6 or 4x4 inch ceramic tiles that they would like to share???

I know that they are only about $4.00 each at the store but need about 20 to start and there will be an ongoing demand from the customers...

Thanks Mark...

Mark, search the forum (Laser Engravers and CNC Tools) for Easels you will find quite a few postings with attachments

There is one here http://www.sawmillcreek.org/showthread.php?t=46019&highlight=stands

I made up some very simple stands that work for boards. I can cut them on the laser myself. These are 6" tall and the dowels are 1/4" or 3/8". It is easy to resize them larger (or smaller) if you like, just make the holes to fit a standard size dowel. (get the dowels first and measure them, they vary in size).

If you can get stands for a buck at a dollar store these may not be worth it but it's nice to make them yourself. You can use any thin stock 3/16" to 1/4"

This is my first post. I attached a photo and a Corel 8 file. Hope they work.

Hi Mark,
Here are a couple to play with.
I prefer the one piece, warm it up with a heat gun, and bend.
The three piece is OK if you get the tabs snug or glue them.

Mark the ones I use for granite would only need a few alterations to make them worth looking at

(find the link here)

they are two pieces - a little dab of superglue or polyweld at the combs will secure it forever

Thanks Again, Mark ;)...

P.S> And I thought I was done for the night... Gonna' go into the office (yeah, it's the basement) and see how the frames turn out!!!

Here are some of the tiles I made for my customers this afternoon...

Decided to use the stands you pointed out from Tom Buzz Bernard's reply...

Thanks for the info and thought that I would share the results...

Here are some pics and a re-sized stand file in X3 for 6"x6" tile portraits... I cut a 48" piece of wood to 34" and got two more out of the left over 14 inches...

I'd like to share one of my stand designs I made from 4mm acrylic. The tabs have to be slighlty adjusted sometimes so the fit is tight. Works well with wood as well. Advantage is clients can assemble stand themselves.

I don't know how it is done in v13 but below is how it is done in v12. After you click on save as, click on the box to the right, then pick what version you want to save it in. I am not all that experienced in this either.

Thanks in advance for trying.

File | Save as... |to the left, midway-down, you'll see Version:

I normally save "down" to version 9. That covers *almost* everyone.
