What is the best way to do this?

I have installed some cabinets that I pre-finished and now need to install some moulding (to hide the fact that my walls are not straight and my scribe and jig-saw skill is not perfected :D).

I'm planning on using a 3/8" quarter-round (just big enough to hide the gaps) but question how to attach it.

Alternatives seem to be:
1) some type of glue/epoxy, or
2) pin-nails (don't own one but could be convinced that I "need" one ;)).

If the recommendation is 1 then what should I use?
If the recommendation is 2 is there a risk of splitting the moulding and shouldn't the pins be holding a glued moulding anyways?

thanks,
Jeff

Either or.

I am looking at picking up a Hi-performer hot melt poly glue system for things like this, among other things.

Being as it is painted you could use brads, paintable caulk and touch it up with paint.

construction adhesive like liquid nails, and a pin nailer to tack the molding on until the adhesive cures
