Hello all.

I remember a few months ago that someone was asking about building a few adirondack chairs. One of the fellows from this site posted a picture of a great looking chair. It was partially painted, one part was left natural and the other part was painted a nice green color. I was just wondeing if the person that posted the picture has any more photos of the chairs the he built. I found them to be very nice and thought I would copy a few if he did not mind. No use reinventing the wheel. I have seen so many but that one he posted was in my opinion the nicest I've seen.

Take care
Ben

Not what your looking for ....but I built a bunch of Norm's chairs about 14 years ago and they are still holding up today. Very comfortable. I even built a few more the following year for Father's Day.;)

I don't know what design you're referring too, but like Gary, I love the comfort of the NYW design for sitting. My two are soon to reach the end of their life from weathering, but I'll be making more...I have the templates from the first time around hanging in the shop!

Here's a link to the plans for the set I made, everyone seems to like the comfort and style. I used Cedar.

I'm in the same boat as you, Jim. I built two Nahm chairs a couple of years back, and once the shop is up and a couple of other major projects are out of the way I think I'm going to pony up and make some out of cypress or cedar.

Thanks fellows,

That is the style I was looking for. Tim, I guess those were your chairs?? Great job, I really liked the use of paint and the cedar. It just gave it a nice looking finish. It looks like you all agree that the NYW style is the one that is most comfortable.

I appreciate the quick reply.

Have a good day fellows.

Ben

Ben,

I think the following thread has the chair you are talking about. Let us know if you find the plans.
