Old Scraper Help- pics

I found this old scraper at a tag sale today. I liked the looks and the heft (it's quite heavy), so I bought it.

I'm not sure of it's age, and can't find any info about it online. In large letters it says:

LEADER
RUGAARD MFG CO
LAWRENCE MASS

Does anyone know anything about this scraper?

Looks like a paint or box label scraper. The blade doesnt have enough flex for a wood scraper

I've got a few dozen hand scrapers but not one like that one...very interesting..it is a paint scraper..but done a lot nicer than the ones I've seen or have..brass I assume? would the blade be marked also?

lot of hand held scrapers in that design made over the years..I would figure early century..1900-1925, give or take a few years...certainly very nice!
