DW734 for $228

Amazon has the DW734 Planer for $228. They are charging $49 for shipping, but you get a $40 mail in rebate from DeWalt which almost wipes out the shipping charge. Seems like a pretty good deal. Hope this helps someone. Regards, Bill

I posted in a similar thread, but thanks to other SMC users, I've just ordered a new 734 for about $40 more than I was about to pay last week for a used one. (Lost that one to someone else.)

I just wanted to say thank you, since you and the other folks that post these notices to SMC have helped me to make several purchases with quite a bit of savings! :)

I have this planer. Paid over $100 more for it and am very happy. If anyone is thinking about a lunchbox and (like me) can't quite squeeze the price of a DW735, jump on it. 3 reversable self-indexing knives, 12 1/2" x 6" capcity.

That's a phenomenal price for this planer. Other than the blades seem to dull quickly, the results are fantastic.
