Help! My sketchup won't run

I just recently got a new computer with Windows Vista and wanted to revisit sketchup after getting frustrated with it and leaving it. I went to the web site and downloaded the free version 6. It seemed to install OK, but when I go to open it, it says the program is not responding. After hearing all the good things about the program, I really want to try it out again. Can anyone out there tell me what the problem is and let me get back to design.

There are additional entries in the data base that indicate you need to properly install SU relative to administrator rights, etc. Use the Keyword "Vista" in the Google SketchUp Help Center to read all the notes.

That worked! I thought since the computer was relatively new the stuff should be up to date. Now with some time on sketchup again I might actually get proficient. Thanks again
