Well this weekend finish up a HF out of walnut from Mark Cothren. Very nice dark piece of walnut. Unfortunately one of my lamps went out on my photo tent and had to use some flash as you can see the bright spot. Was so mad. Anyway it is 6 1/4" tall and 4 1/2" across. It is finished with Lacquer. I really like how it turned out. Just wish the camera stuff worked better.

Great work Bernie! Did you use your Kelton hollowers? And/or anything else?

I used the Monster HF tool I got from Randy Privett. It works like a charm. It is the captured system just like the Jamieson. On the thread where I posted the maple burl I hogged out the wood with the Keltons and finished with the Monster tool.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I appreciate it. This one the wood was great and it turned out to be one of my best.

Really stunning Bernie! I love walnut, and you've really done it justice. Besides the Laquer finish, did you use any other oils?

Another Beautiful piece Bernie! You have got to slow down just a little. I just turned my first pens, and I still haven't mastered the Center Saver System. Now your into something new and probably not inexpensive! Probably next will be the ornamental attachment. Only kidding, I enjoy your work and your input on the site.

Bernie, great job. What brand lacquer did you use?

I just use the Deft from Wal-Mart or our local Do-it-Center. I really like how it sprays.
