Hi All,
I need a popup blocker that works, I can't even read the posts without a bunch of junk poping up.
Thanks,
Dick

What are you running for antivirus and firewall?

You need to download adaware and spydoctor to clean up spyware on your computer. Keep running them over and over until nothing comes up.

There are programs such as AVG, PC-cillin, Kaspersky, etc available to download internet security programs to get you started if your antivirus and firewall aren't cutting it.

SMC has no pop-ups for ads, etc. If you are experiencing them, your machine is infected with something that needs removed. And both IE and Firefox have integral pop-up blockers these days.

If you are running Firefox, get the "NoScript" add-on. It sits in your brower's bottom toolbar and only allows javascripts to be run on the sites that you specify. And since pop-ups are javascript based, you can control them this way.

I use Zone Alarm Security Suite. Haven't had a pop up since I started using it three years ago. I also have Ad-Aware installed and I run it weekly.

I agree--it sounds like your machine is infected with Ad-ware. You could try Ad-Aware SE Personal(http://www.lavasoft.com/) and Spy-Bot (http://www.spybot.com/en/index.html) for removing it. Luckly I have no experience with actually removing anything beyond the "tracking cookies" the above find.
